Here you can travel to many places and start your own story , get items from dungeons and craft new items from the existing ones . What you do is totally your choice

How this whole Kingdom works :

You start off in a random town , and from there you collect materials, craft them , form allies and bonds along the way , you can travel to many different places .

What do you mean by Travel you might ask : 

"Travelling" is moving from one channel to another in this case they are the places, depending on where you go , you get different modes of transport: (picture on right)

Then you will be in the said vehicle for some time depending on the distance

What are Skills :

Through out your journey in Kingdom you will require a lot of skills either to craft , or to transport . These special skills can be learned based on your Level. They unlock many aspect that cannot be accessed otherwise
